As a rule, we do not acquire special care-required personal information (as defined in Article 2, paragraph 3 of the APPI). Where an individual provides such information for the provision of services (for example, food allergies or physical conditions), we handle it under appropriate security controls within the scope necessary to achieve that purpose.

Where it is anticipated that a third party will acquire personally referable information (as defined in Article 2, paragraph 7 of the APPI, limited to information constituting a personally referable information database, etc. under Article 16, paragraph 7 of the APPI) as personal data, we will not provide such personally referable information to that third party without confirming, in advance and as prescribed by the rules of the Personal Information Protection Commission, the following matters, except where permitted by the APPI or other laws and regulations and in the cases listed in (1):
- That the individual’s consent has been obtained to the effect that the third party may acquire the personally referable information from us as personal data identifying the individual
